Kiewit Infrastructure has been recognised by the National Asphalt Pavement Association for its work at Colorado Springs Airport

The Quality in Construction (QIC) Award was given to Kiewit Infrastructure for its work on the Taxiway Bravo Rehabilitation, specifically in the airport paving category for the second phase of the project.

“This award stands as a testament to the dedication and hard work demonstrated by our partners at Kiewit. Their commitment to enhancing our airfield is greatly appreciated,” said Greg Phillips, COS director of aviation.

The overall project included pavement rehabilitation to improve pavement condition; installation of taxiway lighting; installation of taxiway shoulders; and reconfiguration of markings to meet current FAA design standards regarding direct apron-to-runway access from the Peterson Space Force Base ramp/apron.
