The Atlanta Police Department, in collaboration with ATL Enforcement, executed a successful undercover operation at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)

During the operation, six individuals were cited for operating as non-registered rideshare drivers. Several more were arrested for violating airport regulations. Two violators attempted to evade law enforcement but were swiftly identified, and their vehicle tag numbers were documented for subsequent legal action.

“This successful operation highlights our dedication to ensuring the safety and security of all individuals within our airport,” said Atlanta airport general manager Balram Bheodari. “We will continue to collaborate with our law enforcement partners to enforce regulations and maintain the highest standards of service excellence.”

Illegal rideshares not only pose a risk to passengers but also undermine the integrity of legitimate transportation services, the airport operator said, stressing that throughout the operation, no injuries or property damage occurred, ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals involved.
