Operator Aeroporti di Roma (ADR) has launched a new Shop&Fly service at Rome Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Airport

The service enables travellers to reserve the products available on the Aeroporti di Roma’s website and pay for and pick them up at the airport.

Prior to the summer 2024 season, ADR will further expand shopping opportunities for travellers departing from and arriving at Rome Fiumicino Airport

Shop&Fly means travellers can use their personal digital devices or the ADR website to choose from some 9,000 items from 600 top brands on sale in the Lagardère Travel Retail’s Aelia Duty Free stores.

Alberto Niero, CEO Lagardère Travel Retail Italia, said: “This very ambitious project is aimed at responding to the changing behaviour of consumers who are more and more digitally orientated, by offering them an additional opportunity to purchase our products”.

With Shop&Fly, passengers departing from Leonardo da Vinci Airport for all destinations or arriving from an Italian or Schengen destination, can shop online, choosing from duty free products from the online catalogue, which can then be paid for and collected directly at the airport at the special cash desks in the Aelia Duty Free stores. All ITA Airways passengers, even those coming from a non-Schengen destination, will also be able to collect the products ordered on Shop&Fly at the Pick Up points of Aelia Duty Free stores.
