Teesside International Airport and SSE Energy Solutions have announced a new joint venture which aims to deliver enough green electricity to power the equivalent of more than 17,000 homes.
This route will run alongside flights to Aberdeen, Belfast, London/Heathrow and Newquay
The project will see the airport have commercial and support vehicles fitted with 100% hydrogen zero emissions engines
Flights from Teesside to Bristol and the City of Derry to Liverpool will commence in May of this year
The facility has hired two new recruits in preparation for the summer and has secured a new fire engine for the site
The airport is currently being redeveloped ahead of the summer, with renovation of the main terminal and other amenities
