Following the success of its pop-up store, Haut Chocolatier Sprüngli is to open a permanent outlet at Munich Airport.

The Swiss pioneer of Grand Cru chocolate’s first German store will be in the departures area of Terminal 2, where it will offer handmade pralinés and truffles, fresh broken and bar chocolate and its famous Luxemburgerli (Macarons).

"We welcome Confiserie Sprüngli and are delighted that Munich Airport is its first European retail store outside Switzerland," said Dr Jan-Henrik Andersson, Munich Airport chief commercial officer.

"Munich Airport is the ideal location for us to present our Haute Chocolaterie – indulgent chocolates created with passion and in artisan tradition. As a Swiss premium brand, we share common values such as a holistic approach to quality and service as well as a sense of exclusivity and innovation," explained Tomas Prenosil, chief executive officer of Sprüngli.

The new Sprüngli store is open daily from 6am to 9pm.
