OMA has been included in the 2022 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index, which distinguishes companies that excel at promoting equality, female talent development and diversity.

Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte, SAB de CV, known as OMA, has been included in the 2022 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI), one of just ten Mexican companies to be featured.

GEI is a modified market capitalisation-weighted index that aims to track the performance of public companies committed to transparency in gender-data reporting. This reference index measures gender equality across five pillars: female leadership and talent pipeline, equal pay and gender pay parity, inclusive culture, anti-sexual harassment policies, and pro-women branding.

The 2022 GEI includes 418 companies with a combined market capitalisation of $16 trillion headquartered in 45 countries and regions across 11 sectors.

“We are proud to be included in the 2022 Bloomberg Gender Equality Index, which reinforces our engagement to create equal working opportunities. We are convinced that diversity is key for better decision making”, said Ricardo Dueñas, CEO of OMA.

According to OMA, this achievement reflects its ongoing efforts to build a diverse and equal workforce and its commitment to transparency towards investors, in response to growing market interest in social, environmental and governance matters.

OMA operates 13 international airports in nine states across central and northern Mexico. Its airports serve Monterrey, Mexico’s third largest metropolitan area, the tourist destinations of Acapulco, Mazatlán, and Zihuatanejo, and nine other regional centres and border cities.
