Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, county commissioners,  and leaders from MIA and Lemartec Corporation marked the ground breaking

The seven-level Park 6 garage, scheduled for completion in summer 2026, will be located adjacent to Miami International Airport’s current Flamingo garage. The new $136m parking garage will add 2,240 spaces, substantially increasing parking availability for passengers and employees.

Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said: “This major investment into the customer experience at MIA will make parking and entering the airport more convenient than ever before. With one modernisation project after another, MIA is getting future-ready for our growing number of visitors.”

Park 6 will also include features such as 50 spaces for electric vehicle charging, energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures, and a Parksmart Silver Certification design from the global certification programme that defines, measures, and recognises high-performing, sustainable garages. The design also follows the standards set forth in Miami-Dade County’s Sustainable Buildings Program.

Lemartec Corporation, a national design-build construction management firm, was contracted in October 2023 to design and build the new parking facility.
