Ferrovial Airports has appointed Shawn Kinder global corporate development and strategy director, to lead the next phase of the company’s growth.

Shawn Kinder has more than 20 years of international experience in the industry and will lead Ferrovial’s Airport division as it works to expand its worldwide presence and promote the sustainable, efficient, and safe facilitation of air travel. In his new role, to be based in the Netherlands, Kinder will report to Ferrovial Airports CEO Luke Bugeja.

Most recently, Shawn Kinder has helped build the aviation financial advisory practice at Solomon Partners, where he advised Aecon on the sale of a participation in the Bermuda LF Wade International Airport, and assisted an airline on its financial partnership in a new terminal development. He previously spent 19 years at aviation advisory firm Ricondo, working on several of the world’s largest infrastructure development and business planning efforts, at airports such as Chicago O’Hare, Abu Dhabi, Manchester, Nairobi, and Keflavík, 

while advising investors and government agencies on transactions in the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe. Kinder has undergraduate and graduate degrees from Purdue University and Northwestern University.
