Denver International Airport (DEN) has promoted Andrea Albo to deputy chief of staff, effective January 10.
As deputy chief of staff, Andrea Albo will support Cristal DeHerrera, executive vice president/chief of staff. She will work on the chief of staff portfolio, including organisational strategic planning and performance management, the Center of Excellence and Equity in Aviation, the airport’s overall equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts as well as operationalising key priorities for CEO Phil Washington.
Albo joined DEN in 2019 as senior vice president for culture and strategy. in this role, she oversaw the commerce hub, strategic planning, continuous improvement, wellness, employee engagement, ADA/Title VI, future workforce development, and equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts.
A Denver native, Albo has worked in public service leadership for 24 years in a variety of roles centred on leading large organisations to reform policy, strengthen processes, and improve employee and customer experiences. Prior to joining DEN, she served as chief of staff for the Denver Sheriff Department, where she led the department’s reform implementation efforts, and also spent 10 years with the Denver Department of Human Services in a variety of roles including as a deputy executive director overseeing federal, state, and local programmes.
Albo has been recognised by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) as a national Champion of Change, was named Denver Leader of the Year by the Denver Peak Academy in 2019 and has received a number of other recognitions for her commitment to serving the community.
