US industry stalwart Lysa Scully joined Ferrovial Airports in January. She tells Tara Craig about the role, her ambitions and her thoughts on the wider airports sector in the light of COVID-19

Perhaps best known for her time as CEO of New York’s LaGuardia Airport, Lysa Scully joined Ferrovial Airports as an independent senior advisor at the beginning of 2021. Jorge Gil, CEO of the Spanish multinational at the time, said of her appointment: “Lysa’s unique experience and expertise in managing and leading the development of large and complex airport infrastructure will be key to support Ferrovial Airports’ growth strategy in the US market.” As she settles into the role, Airports International put a series of questions to Scully.
