The first stores have opened in the new 2,700m2 luxury precinct at Sydney Airport’s T1 International terminal, among them Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta and Hermès.

Brands making their debut at the airport include Loewe, Prada, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta and Saint Laurent, with Cartier, Celine, Dior, Gentle Monster, Louis Vuitton, Moncler, Valentino and Versace to follow. Burberry has unveiled – for the first time in Australia – its new global store concept.

Heinemann Tax & Duty Free will also open a beauty, fashion, luxury timepieces and jewellery offer to complement the new luxury precinct. The new zones will feature an expanded range of luxury and premium brands, some of which are exclusive to Sydney Airport. Heinemann is to introduce a range of offers in the new year that will be exclusive to passengers travelling through the terminal.

Sydney Airport executive general manager commercial Mark Zaouk said: “We are excited to unveil the new luxury experience at Sydney Airport featuring the most premium luxury brands in the world. We know that their incredible collections, and the ability to put products aside for in-store collection, will be well received by passengers.

“International passengers can also look forward to a number of Australian firsts, including Louis Vuitton’s first travel retail store in the southern hemisphere and the brand’s largest stand-alone travel retail store in the world.”

The precinct will be complete in mid-2023, with the recently unveiled luxury stores shortly to be joined by Cartier, Celine, Dior, Gentle Monster, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co, Valentino and Versace.
