Please visit http://www.cobham.com/ for more information. As Head of Safety and Compliance your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Thorough knowledge of the following UK Government security requirements; ISO 9000, ISO 14001, ISO 18001, AS9100, EASA Part M, Part 21G, Part 21J, Part 145 and Part 147
- Experience of holding a leadership role in the safety function of a safety-critical industry
- Experience of managing and leading audits whilst in a leadership role for quality
- A qualification in safety management or equivalent
- Flight operations experience would be advantageous
As Head of Safety and Compliance your main responsibilities will involve:
- Working closely with the EAS (Engineering Aviation Services) Executive Team, particularly the Engineering Director, the Head of Continuing Airworthiness and the Director of Flight Operations, to collectively promote and sustain a safety culture
- Overseeing all arrangements to ensure continued accreditation under ISO 9000/AS 9100
- Ensuring that for any significant non-compliances, risks or issues, the Accountable Manager (AM) is briefed clearly and in a timely fashion, with safety advice that is complete and correct
- Ensuring that the security policy, processes and arrangements are compliant with all legal customer and business requirements
- Producing and submitting timely, comprehensive and accurate Safety, Quality, Risk, Security and Environmental performance reports and metrics for the business unit to the SBU, Division or EAS Executive Management Team as required
