Jet Professionals, on behalf of our prestigious client based in the Far East, are looking for candidates for their senior vacancy Regional Manager, Business Development.
The succesful candidate will be part of the China Region Management team and act as key regional business leader to ensure the design and negotiation of business terms and successful contractual agreement with partners to allowthe China Region to deliver its' customers the full range of products. The individual will develop and plan strategic relationships with Chinese partners and develop/forge partnerships by considering customer needs as well as strategic, legal, tax and competitive issues. The candidate will work with Finance to prepare business cases, cost justifications and sensitivity analysis as needed for analysis, negotiation or internal/corporate approval purposes.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as focal for business development for China Region
- Collaborate with legal, finance and functional groups to evaluate, negotiate and reach successful contractual agreements with partners
- Keep department heads fully informed of China Region business development activities.
- Advise team on key planning issues and potential business development / legal pitfalls detected during analysis or negotiation
- Work with HQ Legal/Contracts team, China Regional Director of Government affairs and in-country legal counsel as needed on all aspects of legal needs for China Region
- Serve as an in-region advisor to Executive Director and HQ Management on business development, legal, and strategic issues related to agreements pertaining to China Region
- Partner with Regional Management team to forge external relationships that add value
Requirements
- MBA/ degree in Business or Engineering
- 15 years progressive leadership experience in related field with 5 years Airline management experience
- Strong business development, legal and financial and acumen
- Proficient understanding of business contract law
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Software Suite
- Ability to organize, establish, and implement strategic plans and objectives.
- Ability to analyze intangible and complex issues with multiple variables
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to present to executive decision makers
- Ability to speak Chinese & understanding of Chinese culture/business environment
- Able to travel to mainland China and US (up to 60% of the time
