Durham Tees Valley Airport Tom AllettDurham Tees Valley Airport’s plans to attract new businesses to the site have taken a significant step forward with the opening of a new suite of offices — and what makes them different is that they are in the terminal itself.
As part of the terminal improvement programme surplus space on the first floor has been refurbished to create six offices, some of which offer views over the airfield.
DTVA’s Managing Director Steve Gill commented: “Key to the Master Plan for the airport is maximising the potential of the whole site to generate new revenue streams in order to support continuing air services.
“We have begun work on upgrading and reconfiguring the terminal to reflect the focus on scheduled services meeting the needs of the business community and the opening of the office suite is the first phase of our plans for establishing a business centre, especially targeted at companies with aviation connections.
“The offices are already attracting interest and we indeed have confirmed tenants for two of the units.”
The offices range in size from 75 to 320 sq ft and offer direct access off the terminal, 24-hour on-site security and three hours’ free parking for visitors.

it’s great news getting more business at dtva, but the people on teesside and surrounding areas want flights to places they want to go to such as costa blanca, costa del sol ,majorca, minorca, tenerife and so on.
then we wouldn’t have to take our custom to leedsbradford and newcastle airports when we have a fine airport on our doorstep.
