ADPI Runway

Aéroports de Paris Ingénierie (ADPI), in partnership with Taiwanese design and engineering office Sinotech, has won a contract to redevelop the runways at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.

The company will complete the studies and detailed design for the renovation work on the two existing runways and associated taxiways.  It will establish a quick exit lane and extra parking areas, and extend the south runway 328ft (100m) west and 1,148ft (350m) west, bringing the total to 12,467ft (3,800m).  Once work is completed, due in 2015, the airport will be able to handle widebody aircraft as large as the A380.

The project is estimated to cost six billion Taiwanese dollars (US$199.6m).
