Logistics solutions provider CWT-SML Logistics has inaugurated a 134,549sq ft (12,500m2) facility at aerotropolis Dubai World Central (DWC), UAE.

The facility provides a full range of logistics services, including third-party logistics, inbound shipment processing and freight services.  It is the company’s fourth facility in the UAE and its second in DWC.

Scheduled to start operations this month, the new facility includes a 43,056sq ft (4,000m2) temperature-controlled storage area and a 91,493sq ft (8,500m2) ambient storage area.  It can handle bulk cargo and is equipped with security and fire safety systems and 24 loading/unloading docks.

Rashed Bu Qara’a, COO of Dubai Aviation City Corporation, commented:  “The self-contained, fully integrated ecosystem at Dubai World Central makes it an ideal location for logistics and trade companies to expand regionally and internationally.  Moreover, the Dubai Logistics Corridor connecting Jebel Ali seaport to Al Maktoum International Airport provides a single customs-bonded zone.  DWC offers the strategic advantages of a high level of connectivity to businesses, combined with the flexibility to expand and meet current and future needs.”
