ARINC has announced it has won a major three-year contract to install its vMUSE passenger processing solution at five regional airports in Egypt including Sharm El Sheikh, Luxor, Aswan, Borg El Arab and Abu Simbel.  The ARINC vMUSE platform is fully compliant with the IATA CUPPS standard for common-use passenger systems.

ARINC will be working in partnership with Aviation Information Technology (AVIT), a subsidiary of the Egyptian Holding Company for airports and air navigation. Under the contract, ARINC will procure, build and install the core common use passenger processing
systems (CUPPS) and provide remote third level support while AVIT will handle first and second level support.  The contract includes an aggressive 14-week delivery and implementation schedule for all systems to all five airports by the end of May 2013.
