Valid for eight years, the contract comprises additional engine-related services such as component maintenance, logistics including transportation, pooling and lease support, engine maintenance management, airline support team (AST), advanced work-scoping and spare engine coverage.

Spare parts will come from Frankfurt and Hamburg, whereas overhaul and repair work will be executed at the Lufthansa Technik sites in Hamburg.

Robin Johansson, Direct Sales South East Asia & Australia/Pacific at Lufthansa Technik, commented:  “We are very proud that we have been selected by Air Tahiti Nui to provide engine services for its Airbus A340 fleet.  The CFM56-5C is one of the core engine types in our product portfolio.  Due to our experience, we will be able to offer the high level of support which our customer is expecting from us.”
