Northrop Grumman to Supply ATC Systems to Chile

Northrop Grumman Corporation has announced its UK-based air traffic management subsidiary, Park Air Systems, has been awarded a contract by the civil aviation authority of Chile, Direccion General de la Aeronautica Civil (DGAC), to supply complete ground-to-air communication systems at multiple sites across the country.

Under the contract, Park Air Systems will deliver its latest T6 VHF radios with local technical support being provided by its Santiago-based partner Aerotech.

The installation of the ground-to-air communication system will take place over five sites: Cerro Colorado, Chillan, Puerto Montt, Puerto Aguirre and Balmaceda.  In-country training and a Technical Quality Acceptance procedure will be performed in Santiago.

Work on the contract will be completed by the end of 2012.
