Flybe Announces 20% Increase in Hand Baggage Size

Flybe says it has increased its hand baggage dimensions to the greatest possible allowance that can be accommodated on its aircraft. (Flybe)

European regional airline Flybe has increased its hand baggage dimensions to 22x16x9in (55x40x23cm), equating to a 20% increase in volume over the previous limit.

The carrier has stated that it hopes the increase “is a tangible measure of [its] ongoing commitment to ‘making flying better’.”

Director of Marketing Simon Lilley commented:  “We know that a lot of our passengers fly day returns or just stay overnight.  They enjoy the convenience of hassle-free regional airports and this change will make travelling with hand baggage even easier.”
