Continued Growth for Swedish Airports

Swedavia, the State-owned group that owns, operates and develops 11 Swedish airports has reported a 3% in passenger numbers for June 2012 compared to the same month last year.  

While 3 million passengers travelled to or from one of its 11 airports.  International passengers increased by 5% to 2 million passengers while domestic traffic remained level at one million passengers.

The number of landings from scheduled and charter flights at Swedavia´ s airports during June was 16,600; down 5% compared with the corresponding period last year.

The Group adds that accumulated figures for the first half of 2012 show that passenger numbers have increased by 5% to 16.1 million.  International passenger traffic grew by 6% to 9.6 million while a 5% increase in domestic traffic resulted in a total of 6.5 million.
