Schiphol Lounge Renovation

Global airport restaurateur HMSHost has opened five new food and beverage offerings and restyled the reception area of the Hotel Mercure as part of the renovation of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol’s Lounge 3.

Approximately 5.3 million passengers use the lounge each year and the company they can now enjoy their time at the airport in “inspiring and pleasant ways.”

East Bar and Bites is a full service bar with an ‘Asian touch’.  It provides sake cocktails and Asian finger food.  Guests can also enjoy drinks such as Heineken beer, premium coffee blends and various Chinese teas.

bread! is located at the centre of Lounge 3 and features a tall bread stand and wooden picnic tables.  Guests can choose from a range of sandwiches, freshly-squeezed juices and coffee.

For a healthy alternative, passengers can go to the JuicyDetails bar, which provides juices, smoothies, fruit and ‘grab and go’ snacks.

The lounge also has the airport’s fifth Starbucks coffee shop and a McDonald’s.

HMSHost also manages the Hotel Mercure Schiphol Terminal, located within the airport post-security.  The reception area has been revamped as part of the lounge’s renovation and both hotel guests and travellers are invited to “find a peaceful moment” here.
